Student OMNY Cards & MTA info

New York City Public Schools will be replacing the school-issued MetroCards that have been issued since 1997, with new OMNY cards that will be valid for 24 hours a day, 365 days a weeks. In total, each student card holder will be allowed four free trips daily, including weekends. OMNY Cards are distributed to eligible students as per NYC Department of Education Regulations.

Check your student's eligibility for an OMNY card or bus transportation. Cards are provided to us by the Office of Pupil Transportation on the basis of the recorded home addresses. The school cannot make decisions about who gets a card or for what means of transportation (i.e. bus, subway). The OMNY Card is good for the entire year. If your child loses it, they should immediately sign-up for a replacement card in the Main Office. Replacement cards will be ordered and may take time to arrive. OMNY Cards allow students to get four free rides each day including weekends, summers, and vacations.

Student OMNY Cards are distributed to all students during the first week of school, depending on availability. Please contact the main office with any questions. 212-678-2861 x1381.
