Student Account Overview
NYC STUDENT ACCOUNTS
Instructions for students to access their NYC DOE Accounts for the first time:
The Department of Education has issued accounts for student email ending in "@nycstudents.net" and to access TeachHub which provides access to applications. The "@nycstudents.net" email account is tied to a Google account and it is used for students to access Google Classroom, Drive and Gmail. The email account can be accessed through Gmail.com. TeachHub resources may be accessed at teachhub.schools.nyc.
The Department of Education has required that our school fully transition over to the @nycstudents.net email accounts and to phase out our previous @ms54.org student accounts to secure access to multiple applications. The same login credentials will also provide access to report cards and other information.
Your DOE Student Account ID and Password

The @nycstudents.net student accounts are hosted by Gmail, and so will operate just like the @ms54.org accounts previously used.

Your DOE Student Account ID and Password
- Your student ID is your username followed by @nycstudents.net. For example, if your username is JaneD, your student account ID is JaneD@nycstudents.net. Some usernames will also have a number, such as JaneD32@nycstudents.net.
- If a student does not know their account ID or password, they will need to ask for help from their homeroom teacher, the technology coordinator, or the parent coordinator, to set up their accounts.

Access Student DOE Gmail Accounts
The @nycstudents.net student accounts are hosted by Gmail, and so will operate just like the @ms54.org accounts previously used.
Here are the directions for any DOE student to sign into their DOE central Gmail account:
- Activate DOE student account using instructions above
- Go to Gmail.com and sign in with your @nycstudents.net account and enter your password at the "single sign-on" prompt.

Use your DOE account to sign into TeachHub which provides provides quick links to:
- G Suite, Microsoft Office 365, and Zoom (using secure central accounts)
- Student report cards (available in the Student Documents icon)
- Multiple educational applications
