COMMUNITY EDUCATION COUNCIL (CEC)
You can also stay current on education issues by attending District 3 CEC meetings. This body of elected parent representatives holds public monthly meetings. Their calendar, duties and news are online at www.cec3.org. You can also subscribe to the CEC3 newsletter to stay informed on what is happening in our district and what the DOE is planning. Go to cec3.org, click on the "Sign up for the CEC District 3 newsletter" button to sign up.

D3 PRESIDENTS' COUNCIL
The NYC Department of Education (DOE) Presidents' Council for District 3 is a body that represents parents in elementary and middle schools within Manhattan Community School District 3. To stay informed about district events, news, and meetings, parents can join the "NYC Community School District 3 Information" Google Group. This group provides a way to receive updates on admissions, committees, workshops, and other important information for families in the district.
- What it is: The Presidents' Council is an umbrella organization for parent leaders in District 3 schools.
- Parent outreach: Its goal is to connect with and inform as many parents as possible throughout the district.
- How to get involved: You can join the "NYC Community School District 3 Information" Google Group to receive regular updates and news relevant to District 3 elementary and middle schools, including information on high school admissions.
- What the group covers: The group's communications cover district events, information from the Community Education Council (CEC3), admissions, meetings, committees, and workshops
