2026-2027 APPLICATION INFORMATION

Information for the 2026-2027 school year is provided below. Check back regularly for updates. Applications are due on December 12, 2025.

Families who are interested in applying to MS54 Booker T. Washington should consult their school's guidance counselor or the Family Welcome Center for further information.

PLEASE NOTE
All admissions to 7th and 8th grade are coordinated by the Family Welcome Center.

2025-2026 Waitlists

Waitlists for middle and high schools closed on Friday, September 12, 2025. This is the final day your child can receive a waitlist offer for this school year.

What Happens Next?

If you receive an offer: You will receive a notification via email. Please monitor your email closely. You will have seven days to respond in MySchools.

If you do not receive an offer: Your child will remain enrolled at their current school. No further action is needed.

TOURS AND OPEN HOUSES

FALL TOURS FOR CURRENT 5th GRADERS [CONCLUDED FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR]

Booker T. tours are for ONE 5th grade student and ONE PARENT per family. After a brief presentation by school leadership, families will visit a few classrooms.

FOR TWINS, please be sure to RSVP for each child under their MySchools profile. No other siblings, please.

Each tour is from 8:30am to 10:15am. Please enter our school at the 108th St. entrance.

For more information and to register for tours go to MySchools. Parents MUST register on MySchools in order to participate in an in-person tour.

Our Middle School Fair was held on Monday, November 10th, 6-7:30pm, at Joan of Arc, 154 West 93rd Street, Manhattan.

Monday November 10, 2025	D3 Middle School Fair, 6-7:30 pm at the Joan of Arc Building, 154 West 93rd Street. Come meet staff and parents from a variety of D3 middle schools. REGISTER HERE

Wednesday, April 15, 2026	Middle School Offer Release

2026-2027 Middle school offers are scheduled to be released on Wednesday, April 15, after school hours.

NYCPS welcome all families of students entering middle school in Fall 2026 to a virtual information session about middle school offers, waitlists, and next steps. After the presentation, NYCPS representatives will respond to your questions.

Each event will cover the same information, so you only need to attend one:

April 21, 5pm to 6pm | Event held in English and American Sign Language (ASL). Interpretation provided in: Albanian, Bangla, Korean, Spanish
April 22, 5pm to 6pm | Event held in English and ASL. Interpretation provided in: Chinese (Mandarin), Haitian Creole, Ukrainian, Urdu
April 23, 1pm to 2pm | Event held in English and ASL. Interpretation provided in: Arabic, French, Russian, Uzbek
